The 2009 election was not contested and David fountain and roger Easton did not seek re-election . Barwell Field and John Wright were duly elected as replacements. The Board have been holding talks with neighbouring IDB,s regarding the Defra review and the proposed sub-catchment arrangements. The Board have been included in with the Middle Level sub-catchment but feel that the proposal of one board within the sub-catchment is not workable and so far no firm resolution has been passed and talks are still progressing.
Conservation – The Board have instructed the Middle Level Commissioners and the Wildlife Trust to produce their Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) by the 1st April 2010. It will be under the Middle Level BAP Partnership.
The Board consists of eleven elected members with no District Council representative. The next election is in 2009 The Board hold three meetings per annum at the Addison Arms Sawtry Road Glatton in February, June and November The November meeting has been arranged for Thursday 16th at 11.00am
The Board levied a rate of 5p on 12th June 2006 to raise £14,425.45 from Agriculture and £629.05 from special levies on Huntingdonshire District Council |
